Introduction to LUV

Our Pocket Curriculum, centered around World Thinking Day on February 22nd will focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This will be a two-week exchange that takes place from February 17th and will require an average of 2 hours of time per week.

Each group will:

  • Address the 2020 World Thinking Day themes and the importance of the G.I.R.L. Agenda
  • Research an issue in their community and region to take action on and discuss with their partners.
  • Exchange two videos over the course of the two-week connection with their partners
  • Create one or more Public Service Announcement (PSA)* to share with their partners on how to take action and solve this issue through advocacy

*A PSA can be a simple video or podcast that will be shared on our platform for partners to learn from and provide feedback on. For instructions on how to create a PSA click here.

Your group will be paired with another group of Girl Scouts aged between 13-18 years outside your local region. This is an innovative and evocative way to bring authentic learning to your scout group.

Sign up by January 24th for a fee of $99 per class (up to 25 students) – limited spots available.
