Integrating 21st century technologies and best practices in K-12 educational programs is a key focus for the Society of International Education (SIE) in Karachi, Pakistan. One way the organization meets that goal is by offering Level Up Village courses as part of its iEARN Pakistan program.
Nashat, a student at Pioneers Baccalaureate School (PBS) in Nablus, West Bank, recently described LUV’s Global Doctors course as “one of the best things I have done in my life.”
In the course, students learned about human body systems by dissecting a variety of specimens, including a frog, a grasshopper, and a sheep’s heart and brain – and shared their findings via video message with partner students in the U.S.
Schools that sign up for LUV’s Global Inventors after-school course receive a complimentary 3D printer – a great way to start building a new Maker Space. In the course, K-9 students learn to harness the power of 3D printing to develop prototype inventions in a real, global context.
