Language Immersion Global Climate Change

Introduction to LUV

Our Language Immersion Global Climate Change course is a two-week exchange done entirely in a target language and requires an average of 2 hours of classroom time per week.

Using their target language, each classroom will:

  • Address current global warming issues being faced by their region of the world
  • Research global warming issues in their own region
  • Exchange two videos over the course of the two-week connection with their partners
  • Create one or more Public Service Announcement (PSA)* to share with their partners.

*A PSA can be a simple video or podcast about a possible solution to global warming issues in their region that will be shared on our platform for partners to learn from and provide feedback on. For instructions on how to create a PSA click here.

Your classroom will be paired with another classroom of students aged between 13-18 years outside your local region. This is an innovative and evocative way to bring authentic learning into the classroom.

Sign up by February 13th for a fee of $99 per class (up to 25 students) – limited spots available. Any classroom, enrichment club, or after school program can take part!
