Global Citizen Series: Climate Change

Celebrate Earth Day by discussing Climate Change with partners nationally or globally

Flexible start dates, beginning TODAY!

"There is no country in the world that is not seeing first-hand the drastic effects of climate change. Greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, and are now more than 50 percent higher than their 1990 level. Further, global warming is causing long-lasting changes to our climate system, which threatens irreversible consequences if we do not take action now."

For this course, each classroom will:

  • Be paired with another classroom of students outside their local region.
  • Research and discuss climate change in their region.
  • Use LUV's secure teacher-monitored platform to exchange two videos over the course of the two-week connection with their partners.
  • Create one or more Public Service Announcement (PSA) to share with their partners.

A complete curriculum and guidelines for creating the PSA are provided. Each course requires approximately 4 hours of class time over 2 weeks.
